Apstrakt

Iz perspektive proizvodnje znanja pronađeni lokaliteti i materijalni ostaci predstavljaju mesta na kojima se nedefinisani slojevi i fizičke strukture, iz gomile prljavštine i odbačenog materijala, pretvaraju u znanje o prošlosti. Proizvodnja arheološkog znanja, na terenu i van njega, odigrava se uvek u specifičnim okolnostima koje podrazumevaju isprepletane odnose materijalnih ostataka, pojedinaca na različitim položajima u profesionalnoj zajednici i institucija. Krajnji ishod procesa su odabrana i formirana objašnjenja o prošlosti koja izviru iz specifičnih praksi arheološke discipline. Međutim, postavlja se pitanje od čega ili koga zavisi koje su interpretacije merodavnije od drugih, i ko može da govori o tome šta je autentična interpretacija prošlosti. Na koji način se određeni koncepti i interpretativni modeli zadržavaju i prenose u istoriji discipline, dok određene ideje imaju drugu sudbinu i nestaju sa arheološke scene? Pri pokušaju odgovaranja na ova pitanja u prvi plan izbija koncept autoriteta i njegova uloga u proizvodnji znanja u arheologiji. Iako je autoritet bio i jeste predmet izučavanja različitih društvenih i humanističkih disciplina, i dalje su retke suštinske dekonstrukcije koje doprinose razumevanju ovog pojma u određenoj oblasti. Stoga je cilj ovog rada upravo teorijska razrada koncepta autoriteta i promišljanje njegove uloge u proizvodnji arheološkog znanja.
