Réflexion sur le rapport entre la musique et l’identité collective de l’angle de la psychologie historico-culturelle

L’objectif de cet article est de tenter de faire un rapprochement entre les approches ethnomusicologique et psychologique du rapport de la musique et de l’identité collective. La musique est considérée comme un artefact socioculturel, qui médiatise des processus de construction d’identité collective et dont la fonction dans de tels processus peut être multiple. Pour comprendre les manières dont la musique est intégrée dans des stratégies formelles et informelles d’(auto)identification, ici est proposé comme solution une prise en compte simultanée des dimensions variées : culturelles, sociales, politiques, psychologiques. Bien qu’il existe déjà des recherches interdisciplinaires sur le phénomène de l’identité et le rôle de la musique dans la formation de celle-ci, nous plaidons pour que de telles considérations soient complétées par des résultats de la science psychologique, adaptés aux besoins de l’analyse ethno-anthropologique. Nous proposons la psychologie historico-culturelle de la musique en tant que cadre théorique le plus global. L’analyse des pratiques spécifiques de médiation de l’identité comme processus psychologique par la musique comme artefact culturel devrait dans des recherches empiriques futures englober des tendances sociales locales et globales croisées, des aspects d’analyse musicologique, des spécificités du développement psychologique de l’identité, le rôle des stratégies socio-politiques de la formation de l’identité, et non la moins importante, la spécificité culturelle de la communauté ethnique qui fait l’objet de la recherche. Nous trouvons que la complexité du phénomène qui est au centre nécessite la même complexité dans l’approche théorico-méthodologique.
