Abstract

The paper is a result of research on consumption processes and nostalgic narratives connected to former Yugoslavia. It deals with the relations between consumption yustalgia and yustalgic consumption, two processes interrogated in nostalgic narratives.

The goal of the research was to explain how people use active memories and nostalgic narratives as a tool of critique for the present socio-political and economical position. In this transitional moment, socialist material culture is a one kind of critique process in post-socialistic discourse.
