Ethnoarchéologie: Le présent comme une clé pour le passé

Ce texte examine des aspects théoriques de l'ethnoarchéologie. Il s'agit d'une discipline particulière qui, établissant des liens entre l'archéologie et l'ethnologie, représente une des voies principales pour construire une théorie moyenne. La méthode ethnoarchéologique permet d'étudier tous les aspects de l'activité humaine, à condition de s'appuyer sur le présupposé de l'uniformité, dûment prouvé au cours de la recherche ethnoarchéologique. Cette discipline repose en grande mesure sur les résultats obtenus dans le cadre d'autres sciences, notamment l'écologie, la sociologie et la psychologie. L'ethnoarchéologie est envisagée comme une stratégie de recheche indispensable pour construire une théorie archéologique qui, à son tour, représente une condition préalable à l'apprentissage du passé et la mise en oeuvre des connaissances acquises pour bâtir une théorie anthropologique générale.
L'auteur signale que, dans les Balkans, les possibilités de l'ethnoarchéologie demeurent non exploitées, alors que leur pleine réalisation contribuerait à un rapprochement entre l'archéologie et l'ethnologie.
