Apstrakt

У раду је пажња посвећена представи Ариона очуваној на монументалном подном мозаику у једној од значајних просторија у репрезентативној римској вили Дел Казале на Сицилији с почетка IV века, која је по одређеним карактеристикама јединствена. Арион заузима централни део комплексног мозаика који се састоји из мноштва сцена, фигура и мотива. Мотив делфина је један од елемената сцене који ову композицију чини јединственом. Будући да је у литератури његова појава маргинализована, она пружа могућност специфичних истраживања која поуздано указују на значење сцене. Стога ће том мотиву у раду бити посвећена пажња коју заслужује.
