„Наслеђе за мир и развој“ – прилика коју не треба пропустити

Употреба заштите културног наслеђа у програмима пост-конфликтне стабилизације и развоја доминантан је приступ међународне заједнице основној тематици наших истраживања и наставе. Уместо да јој се противимо, било с антиреалистичких било с националнистичких позиција, можемо да је препознамо, применимо и употребимо за поправљање положаја друштвено-хуманистичких наука у нашој држави и друштву. Наше стандардне теоријске анализе инструментализације наслеђа, које демаскирају његов конструисани карактер и политичке функције, иритирају па и вређају готово све заинтересоване стране осим нас самих. Јавност перципира наслеђе – срж колективног идентитета, као реално, дато, затечено, попут природног окружења. Уколико желимо да остваримо циљеве антропологије, и шире, друштвено-хуманистичких наука, време је да се помиримо са самом парадигмом помирења и да престанемо да производимо теорију која је контраиндикована циљевима дисциплине. Зато што су циљеви антропологије већ уграђени у употребу етнологије и заштите културног наслеђа од стране међународне заједнице (само ми то споро или никако да препознамо).
