Résumé

Le concept de carnaval de Bakhtine est ici analysé. Pour Bakhtine le carnaval a sa logique, sa philosophie, ses lois. L’auteure présente son interprétation de cette festivité à plusieurs endroits, mais c’est dans son ouvrage L’Œuvre de François Rabelais et la culture populaire au Moyen Age et sous la Renaissance qu’il traite surtout ce sujet. A travers l’analyse de ce dernier livre, tout comme des travaux d’autres auteurs traitant cette problématique, l’intention est d’offrir une présentation systématique du concept de carnaval et de faire mieux comprendre l’importance et la grande popularité de cette théorie parmi les théoriciens de la culture et de la société.
