Apstrakt

U tekstu se kroz različite istorijske periode Indonezije analizira politička instrumentalizacija tri profetska narativa koja su bazirana na predviđanjima srednjevekovnog javanskog kralja Đajabaje (Jayabaya) i sagledava način na koji su milenarističke organizacije i politički aktivisti upotrebljavali mitove o spasitelju i zlatnom dobu zarad ostvarivanja sopstvenih ciljeva. Forma preofetičkih narativa pokazala se kao izuzetno produktivna u procesu kanalisanja nezadovoljstva i mobilisanju na politički aktivizam i njihovom interpretacijom ne dobija se samo pojašnjenje složene političke situacije i istorijskih događaja, već kroz postupke uticajnih pojedinaca stičemo uvid u brojne druge aspekte lokalne kulture, poput procesa formiranja religijskog sinkretizma, raspodele odnosa moći u društvu ili načina kulturne percepcije vremena. Rad će pokušati da pokaže da ova proročanstva nemaju za cilj pokušaj predviđanja budućih događaja, već da prvenstveno služe kao način obezbeđivanja legitimiteta pojedinca u političkoj borbi u sadašnjem vremenu.
